The build towards Money in the Bank continues with the likes of Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne already securing spots for the women’s Ladder Match. This week sees another Triple Threat Match between Roxanne Perez, Iyo Sky and the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina. Who will get the win and head to the PLE? And who will get some revenge when bitter rivals Bayley and Lyra Valkyria collide? Let’s get into it, and find out…

Triple Threat Match – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
ROXANNE PEREZ defeated AAA Reina de Reinas Champion LA CATALINA & IYO SKY
The match started off with Catalina and Perez, who will be facing off for the AAA gold at the Worlds Collide event that’s upcoming, mouthing off before Perez delivered a slap, then one to Sky before bailing from the ring but she got chased back in. A little pinballing as Sky and Catalina hit strikes to Perez, before some dropdowns and misdirection led to both faces hitting Dropkicks to Perez. That left Sky and Catalina to get fancy with some Lucha-style counters with plenty of flips, as usual, from Sky. It led, eventually, to Catalina applying a Black Tornado hold to spin Sky around but she escaped to get a Roll-up, Which, in turn, allowed Perez to pounce with one of her own but that was broken up with Catalina getting a Roll-up on Perez. Sky broke that up, trying for a Backslide but Perez kicked out the leg, rolling over both opponents to try and pin both but the faces both kicked out.
Perez went for a Wheelbarrow on Sky, but ended up shoved off from it and snapped off a Headscissors Takedown on Catalina. A stalemate break happened after Perez took a short Arm Drag from Sky and Catalina delivered a Lucha one to Sky. Moments later, Sky tried for the Wheelbarrow into a Double Stomp spot but Perez rolled away from the stomp, leaving Sky open to take a Dropkick from the middle rope from Catalina. Perez clubbed Catalina from behind and hit her wild strikes. Trying for a Suicide Dive, Sky cut her off with a strike and Sky followed up with the Asai Moonsault. Before Catalina took out both opponents with a Plancha from the top rope as the show went to a ‘commercial break’.
Perez and Catalina traded strikes on the outside before going back in as Catalina got a near fall. Perez took a Corner Clothesline but moments later countered, snapping Catalina’s arm over the top rope and later targeting the limb with a pull on the ropes. A Running Stomp led to a two count before she applied a rest hold of a Top Wristlock. Sky came in but took a Back Elbow before Perez tossed Catalina into Sky for a Shoulder Thrust. Perez hit the Running European Uppercut to Sky’s back on the ropes, setting up for the Double Bounce Lionsault for a near fall as the show returned to ‘live action’.
Perez doubled up, hitting Sky with a DDT while delivering a Side Russian Legsweep to Catalina at the same time, but only getting a two count on either opponent. Perez rammed Catalina into a corner but missed a charge to Sky who then hit a Flapjack, followed by a Buzzsaw Kick for a near fall. Sky missed a Bullet Train Attack and took a Shining Wizard from Perez, who, in turn, took a Top Rope Crossbody from Catalina for a two count. Catalina hit a Hip Attack to both opponents in opposite corners then a Fisherwoman’s Suplex to Perez for a near fall. Sky aimed a Shotei at Perez who ducked and the shot hit Catalina. Perez tossed out Sky and tried to take advantage, managing to hit the European Uppercut to Catalina’s back but the follow up Lionsault saw Catalina barely get the knees up in time.
Sky hit the Wheelbarrow-Double Stomp to Perez but the cover was broken up by a Catalina Basement Dropkick. Catalina applied a Gory Special to Sky but she escaped and hit a Double Underhook Backbreaker. Sky went up for the Moonsault but was shoved off, and Catalina nearly stole it with a Small Package for a two count. Catalina hit a Pump Kick to Perez and tried to do something as she climbed up the ropes where Sky was, but Perez came back and tossed Catalina to the mat. Perez hit a Frankenscreamer to Sky, but ate Catalina’s Running Knee finisher right after only for Sky to break up the pin attempt with a Double Stomp.
Blows were traded between all three women before Sky got the edge with a Superkick to Perez. Perez would send Sky over the ropes to the apron, and dodged a charge from Catalina that sent her into Sky, knocking her off the apron. Catalina hit a Gory Bomb to Perez but only got a near fall. Sky would hit a Missile Dropkick to both women, kipped up and DID THE THING! Sky hit the Bullet Train Attack to both opponents and set them up for Over the Moonsault but Perez moved and despite hitting it on Catalina, Sky came up hurting. Perez pounced, hitting PopRox on Sky and Catalina was too hurt to break up the pin as Perez secured the win.
MAXXINE DUPRI was with The Vision as they confronted Je’Von Evans backstage, and she would be ringside with the group as Bron Breakker faced Evans in a match. Dupri would play distraction during the match, allowing Theory to hit a cheap shot to Evans behind the referee’s back. Eventually the match was thrown out after Theory was seen knocking down Evans, but Dupri would have to watch as Oba Femi came out for revenge on The Vision.
The Judgment Day, including Roxanne Perez, RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ and LIV MORGAN, went to the ring. McDonagh ranted about recent insults directed at him, and Rodriguez didn’t help matters too much claiming that he had a ‘normal-sized head’ and ‘the best head’. She then ranted at the fans in a mix of English and Spanish about them being disrespectful. Morgan then took a turn to rant and claimed their beatdown of rivals last week proved they were still on top. Morgan claimed that Vaquer couldn’t hide for her forever, and said she was coming for both her and Lynch but demanded Vaquer come out and give her a rematch.
BECKY LYNCH would interrupt but came out through the crowd. She levelled insults on McDonagh and mocked Morgan about finding it hard to hold onto a title when you actually have to defend it. Lynch told Morgan to get to the back of the line as she had the first shot. STEPHANE VAQUER then came out from the entranceway and mocked both rivals for talking too much. Morgan complained that she only lost the title because of Lynch, but Vaquer ignored that part and boasted she won in her homeland. When Vaquer offered a rematch to Morgan, Lynch objected on the mic and things got a little lost as Vaquer seemingly offered her a match as well, but it wasn’t clear if it was a Triple Threat or just a match after she’d face Morgan. The segment ended with Vaquer boasting about being champion and posing with her title as her rivals mouthed off.
LYRA VALKYRIA had a promo video, claiming she lost a year of her career because of Bayley and said she paid a price for beating down Bayley by going to a darker place. She complained about Bayley still costing her opportunities and vowed to make this Bayley’s last match.
Singles Match
LYRA VALKYRIA defeated BAYLEY
Bayley attacked Valkyria during her entrance, knocking her down to the floor when she went to jump in over the ropes. Followed up with a Suicide Dive then punches on the floor before tossing Valkyria into the barricade. Back inside, the bell was called and Bayley hit a Running Knee Strike then Clothesline in a corner. Bayley hung Valkyria over the ropes and hit another Running Knee Strike that forced Valkyria to bail from the ring. This time Valkyria cut off Bayley going for a Dive. In the ring, a Spin Kick from Valkyria was countered into a Back Suplex but a Knee Strike attempt was countered with a Monkey Flip as Bayley came up selling her ankle. Valkyria hit her Legdrop across the back from the top for a near fall.
Later on, Valkyria hit her Spinning Heel Kick then charged Bayley into a corner before setting her up top. A Superplex was countered, and Valkyria was shoved off again trying to go back up before Bayley hit a less-than-perfect version of her Top Rope Elbow Drop to get a near fall. Bayley hit a hat trick of regular Elbow Drops as the show went to a ‘commercial break’.
On the outside, Bayley did her Baseball Slide at the corner but Valkyria blocked, swinging Bayley to send her head into the ring post. Hitting a Backbreaker variation with Bayley draped from the apron. Back inside, Valkyria hit a Legtrip then a regular Legdrop across Bayley’s back for a near fall before applying a Camel Clutch resthold. Moments later, Valkyria went for an Enzigiri but hit absolutely nothing with Bayley holding onto the ropes a long distance away. Bayley avoided a charge and sent Valkyria through the ropes for the Stunner spot that almost spiked Valkyria like a DDT. Bayley went House on Fire with Clotheslines then a Back Suplex as the show went back to ‘live action’.
Valkyria hit a Tornado DDT run up a corner before going up top but a Moonsault only hit the canvas as Bayley hit a Basement Dropkick. After trading blows, Valkyria used a cartwheel counter to set up an Enzigiri, then locked on the Last Breath choke hold but Bayley backed herself and Valkyria accidentally into the referee and into a corner. Valkyria took advantage by poking Bayley in the eye without the official seeing it, then hit a nasty Ganso Bomb version of her Doctor Bomb but only got a near fall. Later, Valkyria tried for Nightwing but Bayley escaped and hit the Bayley-to-Belly for a near fall.
Valkyria tried to lock on Last Breath again but Bayley held the ropes, and when she tried for the Rose Plant she was pushed off and it sent her out of the ring. Bayley dragged Valkyria out and the tossed her over the announce table. Clearing the desk and acting like she was going for a Piledriver on the table but Valkyria pushed herself free and fled back to the ring. Bayley followed her in and pummeled Valkyria against the ropes, getting pulled off by the ref. When Bayley tried going after Valkyria again, Valkyria slid through the legs and sent Bayley throat-first into the ropes. Using a Roll-up with a handful of tights to steal the win, and fleeing the scene as Bayley was held back by the referee. Leaving Bayley frustrated as it seemed things were far from over.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce brought out LOLA VICE, announcing her as the latest member of the Raw roster. Vice cut a promo talking about her family’s influence and bragging that she qualified for MITB. As Vice ranted in Spanish, Roxanne Perez interrupted and mocked her. Perez vowed to show that Vice was levels below her. Vice ranted in Spanish and got shoved, but Perez ducked Vice’s Spining Backfist and got forced away from the scene, leaving Vice awkwardly dancing as the segment ended.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The promo between the World Title rivals fell flat. Lynch only popped the crowd with her catchphrases and not even insulting McDonagh got much of a reaction. Vaquer, struggling a bit with broken English, didn’t help matters by making it unclear if we’re heading for the Triple Threat next or just a series of one-on-one matches. In the ring, there were two solid matches this week. The Triple Threat was solid enough and Catalina didn’t look too out of place, but at the same time didn’t fully steal the show compared to how Kelani Jordan did last week in her match. Perez winning was much needed after getting a ton of nothing out of being part of The Judgment Day for months. People might feel bad for Sky appearing for the first time since SummerSlam just to lose, but she is still very over and can take a loss. It will add an element of potentially breaking up The Judgment Day if she wins MITB and could possibly cash in on Morgan if she regains the title, or some form of failed cash in that still involves Morgan in a match. Elsewhere, Valkyria and Bayley had a good match that was better than their last one, and the cheating win leaves the feud open to continue so no complaints there.
