Controversal Knockout TESSA BLANCHARD has been officially stripped of the Impact Wrestling World Championship and has had her contract with the promotion terminated.
Several websites such as Fightful and PWInsider have confirmed the news that Blanchard, currently in Mexico, has been let go by Impact and has had her World title, of which she was the first woman to hold it, stripped.
Impact Wrestling released a short, blunt statement: “Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship.”
According to reports, Blanchard did not send in promo footage when requested to do so and it became clear that she would not be returning to make an appearence at the upcoming Slammiversery PPV event. Blanchard’s deal with Impact was due to expire before the event itself.
Blanchard has faced accusations, of which she had publicly denied, about incidents in the past in Japan and while working for the Women of Wrestling promotion. Blanchard has yet to publicly comment on being stripped of the World Championship and her contract terminating.
