WWE Backlash is just a few short hours away and how the tides have turned since WrestleMania 41 and an air of change lingers in the air as we approach tonight’s Premium Live Event.
Whilst there aren’t an abundance of Women’s Matches on tonight’s card, you can’t argue that the fiery and intensity between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria isn’t enough to wet the appetite. Will ‘The Man’ once again make history as she takes on Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, or will ‘The Bird Lady’ show why she isn’t one to be underestimated, underused or mocked. It’s time to weigh in with our Backlash 2025 PPV Predictions:
Elle: Whether people like it or not, Becky Lynch elevates an angle or a title everytime ‘The Man’ comes around. She did it with the NXT Championship and she also did it with a Heel Trish Stratus. For me this fiery feud is what I longed to see from Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair. I imagine Becky Lynch will be victorious tonight, which no doubt will bother some people but I think this is all part of the big plan to elevate Lyra Valkyria. Prediction: Becky Lynch
Adam(TheInsanityInc): It’s been long overdue to get one of the ‘secondary’ Women’s singles titles defended on a PLE, especially after neither the IC nor US titles were showcased at WrestleMania. Lynch and Valkyria have put on a great clash before over the NXT Women’s Championship a few years ago and no doubt this one will be another great clash. After the events of the past couple weeks with Valkyria standing strong, I have a feeling the tables will be turned this time and Lynch will add yet another accomplishment to the Hall of Fame-worthy resume at the expense of the Superstar she used to mentor.
