Earlier today WWE and 2K unveiled the official match list for this year’s Showcase mode alongside an epic trailer celebrating the historic lineage of the Anoa’i dynasty.
As part of the reveal it was announced that there will be three women’s matches featured within the showcase with Naomi, Nia Jax and Tamina representing the Anoa’i family.
Throughout the Showcase the Wiseman Paul Heyman documents and narrates times of old highlighting members of the Anoa’i family throughout the generations in WWE and what they brought to the business.
In an overhaul to the Showcase mode presentation Superstar Entrances once again return to the mode alongside Match commentary replacing both Slingshot technology and background music as seen in previous titles.
In this year’s Showcase players will experience three different takes on the traditional showcase mode with matches divided into three categories including Relive History, Change History and Create History.
Relive History see’s players recreate historic matches and moments featuring the Bloodline Dynasty playing out scenarios as they originally happened. Change History on the other hand allows players to alter fate and switch up outcomes to favour a member of the family. Create History however is an open door as players live out Dream Matches featuring the Anoa’i family and some of the very best to ever step foot in the ring.
When it comes to the Women there is one Relieve History Match, with Nia Jax taking on Lyra Valkyria as part of the Queen of the Ring Tournament as seen at King and Queen of the Ring 2024.
For Change History there are two available matches to choose from featuring Tamina and Naomi. Tamina’s match will retell the inaugural women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match as she takes on Natalya, Carmella, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank 2017. The second Change History match see’s Naomi and Bayley square off at Super ShowDown 2020 for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a first ever for WWE in Saudi Arabia.

Upon completing matches players will be rewarded with a variety of unlockable including Arenas, WWE Legends, Alternate Attires, Championships and more.
As seen briefly in the trailer the Showcase mode offers up new attires/models for Naomi, Nia Jax and Tamina as well as Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Natalya.
In Showcase tradition there is bound to be even more secret matches and unlockables upon completing the above matches so we can’t wait to dive in once the game releases next month.
