The WWE Draft is just a few short hours away in a night that promises to shake up the entire WWE landscape with superstars from RAW, SmackDown and NXT all up for grabs in the draft.
Later this evening the first batch of superstars will be drafted as part of Friday Night SmackDown with a selection of Female Superstars up for grabs. In our earlier post we picked our top 10 picks to be drafted to SmackDown so we thought it would only be fair to draft in some RAW Superstars to boot.
Elle: Charlotte Flair – With Charlotte on a little hiatus at the moment after a loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania, the Queen is bound to return in the coming weeks or months with an axe to grind and prove why she is one of the greatest of all time. During her time on SmackDown Charlotte has proven why she is ever reliable in the ring and as a WWE Champion so it’s about time WWE gave Charlotte a new setting with a new bunch of women to work with, hey I wouldn’t mind seeing Charlotte take on Damage CTRL or finally get that Championship clash with Bianca Belair.
Adam: Bianca Belair – Yes, the obvious choice with how long Belair has been champ and there’s no real reason to put her through any title switching. Let’s just hope she gets a fresh roster of challengers and perhaps someone who can finally dethrone her.
Elle: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez – Both Liv and Raquel have had a somewhat good run on SmackDown over the last year, especially Liv with a SmackDown Women’s Championship under her belt and a recent Tag Team Championship run with Raquel. I’m not quite sure how long the frienship or the title run will last for the pair but when it does end I would like nothing more than both Liv and Raquel to get some more screentime with Raquel hopefully finally getting that title opportunity against NXT pal Bianca Belair.
Adam: Lacey Evans – The past few months since her return and having the more full on army girl gimmick haven’t exactly left her shining. Perhaps going back to Raw will give her the chance to get that title shot she missed out a couple years ago when she had to go on maternity leave?
Elle: Cora Jade – Cora Jade may have only just returned to NXT over the last few weeks but after spending time away from NXT it’s clear that not only is NXT in good hands without Cora but after her Main Event apperance, Cora is also good minus NXT. I’m not sure Cora will dive straight into the main title picture but Cora would nicely fit into that annoying midcard heel role alongside the likes of Chelsea Green, Carmella and Sonya who eventually get to take on the Champ between feuds.
Adam: Shayna Baszler – With Ronda Rousey having vanished since WrestleMania, why not give Baszler a shot on Raw at a singles run and being a fresh, different kind of challenger for Belair?
Elle: Summer Rae – Now this one might come as a little bit of a shock but I would quite like to see Summer Rae return to WWE beit in a Wrestling or Managing capacity. Over the last few months Summer has teased the WWE Universe countless times of a WWE return and what better way to return than as part of the WWE Draft that is apparently going to shake up the entire WWE. Summer has history with a number of the girls on the roster and would quite easily fit in with the likes of Emma, Dana and Natalya so why not give Summer another shot like Eva Marie had not so long ago.
Adam: Tiffany Stratton – Although she’s made a recent interview saying there are elements of her in-ring work she’d like to work on, she’s quickly become a must-watch in NXT. No better reason to strike while the iron’s hot especially after missing out on winning the Women’s Championship at Spring Breakin’.
Elle: Ronda Rousey – It’s no secret that Ronda’s recent run hasn’t gone as originally anticipated with the former Champ unfortunately succuming to an injury which has fumbled her shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championships as earned at WrestleMania. Monday Night RAW is usually associated as WWE’s Main show or A show (Always been a SmackDown gal personally) and Ronda Rousey regardless of whether you or I like her is a draw and brings in the money and the crowd. If WWE were to move both Shayna and Ronda to Monday Nights I have no doubt they would soon dethrone both Raquel and Liv of the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Adam: Xia Li – Despite all the potential and a great look and moveset, Li hasn’t gotten a chance yet to shine. Why not give her a chance over on Raw, potentially to form a new tag team with perhaps Iyo Sky or Asuka?
