In a few short hours WWE embark on one of the highlight nights of the wrestling calendar as we count down the remaining hours for this year’s Money in the Bank PPV.
With the opportunity of a lifetime hanging in the balance for Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Lacey Evans, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi, elsewhere Bianca Belair and Ronda Rousey look to hold onto their Championship gold as they take on their respective rivals in Carmella and Natalya.
Who will leave with the gold and who will grab the opportunity that could very well change their entire WWE journey? It’s time for our WWE Money in the Bank PPV Predictions:
Raw Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair Vs Carmella
Elle: I’m so gutted we didn’t get the originally planned matchup between Rhea and Belair but I feel this might be a good opportunity to put another note in the championship career of Belair in what will likely be an easy victory for the E.S.T of WWE. Prediction: Bianca Belair
Adam(TheInsanityInc): Well obviously it sucks that we’re not getting Belair Vs Ripley at least at this PLE. But with the little time given to hype it up I’m not exactly excited for this one. No doubt the two will put on a fine match, especially with Carmella being so criminally underrated in the ring, but the result seems pretty obvious here with Belair retaining. Prediction: Bianca Belair
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey Vs Natalya
Elle: I won’t lie I’ve quite enjoyed Ronda’s PPV matches thus far and I have no doubt Natalya will guide this match into something noteworthy even if she ends up taking the pin the long run. Regardless of the outcome if anything this feud has proved that Natalya is underrated and reliable and should have far more title reigns under her belt (no pun intended) for someone as talented as she is. No doubt in my mind that when the bell rings Ronda will once again be standing tall. Prediction: Ronda Rousey.
Adam: Can the safe hand of the WWE’s women’s division for years get a solid match out of Rousey? I’m not so sure that even Natalya can make miracles happen but you never know. As much as I’ve loved Natalya owning Rousey in promos and in social media banter, I can’t see Natalya going over Rousey in this one. The only question will be who is next in line for Rousey as SummerSlam approaches. Prediction: Ronda Rousey
Women’s Money in the Bank Briefcase Ladder Match
Elle: One of my favourite things about this year’s line-up is that it feels as though the majority of the women could easily pick up a win and rightfully so. You could argue that some women could do with the win more than others but each and every woman could definitely do something great with the opportunity given the chance. If I had to put a bet on it I would image Becky and Asuka will prevent each other from picking up the win thus extending their feud with the chance opened up to some of the fresher faced women like Raquel, Liv and Shotzi. I will say my gut tells me Lacey might pick up the win due to the continuous promos and the theme of overcoming the odds. Regardless of who grabs the briefcase I wish them nothing but the best but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t do a cash in on night one or even week or month one for that matter. Let the briefcase feel special again! Prediction: Lacey Evans
Adam: What a stacked line-up for this match. It makes it super uncertain about who will come out on top. The late inclusion of Lynchy to the match might swing things her way, but there’s also the fact that Lacey Evans, who has been given months of hype, might still be being lined up for a title run at long last. In the end, it might come down to if the WWE wants to finally have a female winner who fails to successfully cash-in, or continue with winners since the Women’s MITB first began. My feeling is that the WWE will have a new winner and use it for a new push, but perhaps with a rumoured heel turn as well once the cash-in comes. Prediction: Lacey Evans.
