The Road to WrestleMania is well underway and in the final PPV before the biggest show of the year the men and women of WWE look set to compete for the final spots on the Mania match card. With Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler set to defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss looks to go toe to toe with Randy Orton in what is bound to be a match to remember.
Who will step up as the road to WrestleMania grows ever shorter? It’s time to weigh in with our PPV Predictions:
Women’s Tag Team Championships: Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks Vs Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Elle: I really want to love the team of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler but something just doesn’t quite work for me. Nia and Shayna should be killing it as two powerful badass women but time and time again the pair seem to end up stuck in comedy skit style feuds with neither looking like the powerhouses we all know they are. Going into WrestleMania I hope WWE amp things up and make the duo look like true Champions because I highly doubt they are going to lose the belts to Banks and Belair when the two are headed for a singles Championship match. Prediction: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Adam(TheInsanityInc): Being spread out across all the brands hasn’t helped Jax and Baszler’s title reign, and aside from the recent falling out the teaming up hasn’t worked to hype Banks and Belair’s WrestleMania title match too well. I suppose this match and the fallout will kick start the build for their big match. Which in a way makes I think the result of this one quite predictable. Especially now with Jax’s new crush in her team’s corner. Prediction: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Alexa Bliss Vs Randy Orton
Elle: Well one thing is for sure with this next match up, expect the unexpected. Alexa Bliss’ fiend run has been some of Alexa’s best work and I truly hope WWE throw anything and everything at Bliss to make it the most epic thing they can before production changes with the return of live crowds in the next couple of weeks. WWE should use every trick in the book because edits and ooky spooky spots are going to be hard to pull off when you have the crowd sitting right there in front of you, make Bliss memorable and do her proud WWE. When it comes to a result I kind of expect Orton to win but with Bliss ultimately getting the last laugh with the possible return of Bray Wyatt. Who knows maybe Orton could even the odds with Rhea Ripley thrown into the mix, she did eliminate Bliss from this year’s Royal Rumble afterall. Prediction: Randy Orton
Adam: Well, considering the WWE’s anti-intergender wrestling policy, it seems obvious that this match will lead to only one thing. The return of The Fiend so that Orton and Wyatt can pick things up all over again. There might be some mad editing and shenanigans before that, but there certainly won’t be a proper match. Prediction: No Contest/Match thrown out after The Fiend interferes.
