Hey and welcome back to the Revelleution and some rather unexpected news as earlier today IGN had the privilege of revealing the remaining roster memers of WWE 2K Battlegrounds as well as which superstars will be joining the game post release.
Before we go over the new additions to the women’s roster let’s check out who has already been announced for WWE 2K battlegrounds so far:
Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Beth Phoenix, Brie Bella, Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, Mandy Rose, Naomi, Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, Nikki Cross, Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks and Stephanie McMahon. Over the last few weeks WWE and 2K shared the previous names as part of an ongoing roster reveal showcasing not only the superstar models but the over the top finishers for each of the women.
Surprisingly out of nowhere, earlier today IGN revealed the remaining superstars of the initial roster as well as announcing a whole host of superstars coming to the game post launch. Of the new superstars announced it was revealed that a further 4 female superstars will join the women’s roster as part of the main game with 14 female superstars joining at a later date.
The 5 female superstars joining the already revealed 16 superstars are: Alicia Fox, Carmella, Liv Morgan, Mickie James and Natalya.
This brings the core women’s roster of WWE 2K Battlegrounds to 21 female superstars with the following female superstars joining post launch:
Alundra Blayze, Billie Kay, Chyna, Dana Brooke, Lana, Lita, Maryse, Paige, Peyton Royce, Rhea Ripley, Ruby Riott, Sonya Deville, Tamina and finally Trish Stratus. All in all this will eventually bring the WWE 2K Battlegrounds women’s roster to a total of 35 female superstars which is arguably far larger than originally anticpated.
I have to say I’m rather liking the mixed bag of female superstars but I did notice the rather odd exemptions of the likes of Lacey Evans, Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane just to name a few, who have all been a part of prominent storylines over the last few months.
Regardless WWE 2K Battlegrounds has a pretty cool roster and I can’t wait to see what the remaining female models look like as well as how extreme their finishers will be in the coming weeks. Battlegrounds release date is only a few short weeks away so be sure to stay connected to the Revelleution so you don’t miss out on any of our WWE 2K Battlegrounds content and coverage.
