WrestleMania weekend is finally here in not one, but two nights of back to back wrestling celebrating 40 years of WWE’s prestigious event. WrestleMania is the perfect opportunity for WWE superstars to cement their place in WWE history with the 40th annual event being the perfect opportunity to do so.
After an inspiring debut at the Royal Rumble, Jade Cargill has WrestleMania in her sight, as she aligns with Bianca Belair and Naomi in their ongoing battle against Damage CTRL.
Speaking of Damage CTRL, IYO SKY looks to also leave WrestleMania with gold still around her waist as she defends her WWE Women’s Championship against former Damage CTRL member Bayley. Will Bayley finally have revenge on her former friend or will Damage CTRL continue to dominate the landscape?
Elsewhere, Judgement Day’s Mami looks to once again silence the critics and leave WrestleMania with Championship gold around her waist as she defends her Women’s World Championship against “The Man” Becky Lynch. Will Becky once again prove why she is one of the very best to do it, or will Mami get the last laugh on the biggest stage of them all?
With reputations and championship gold on the line at the showcase of the immortals, who will leave WrestleMania with the ultimate bragging rights. It’s time for our WrestleMania PPV Predictions:
Elle: It may not be the greatest WrestleMania feud buildup for either woman but by hell will it be a great match between two of WWE’s very best. I have absolutely no doubt that both Rhea and Becky will create magic on the main stage in some of the most hard hitting action of night 1. Any other year I would have assumed Becky would definitely get the win, but with contract rumours circulating and Rhea being on a wild run, anything is possible. If Becky is winding down, what better way to start that run by winning on the WrestleMania stage! Prediction: Becky Lynch
Adam: A match that should absolutely deliver on a grand stage no matter what placement on the card. A shame it hasn’t gotten quite the build it deserves but hopefully the women will make up for it with a banger of a match. In terms of who wins? I think that Mami will come out on top here, possibly going into settling things with Liv Morgan after ‘Mania. Prediction: Rhea Ripley
Elle: Whew I cannot wait to see Jade Cargill make her WrestleMania debut in what will no doubt be the first in a long line of Mania matches to come. Whilst I would have loved to see Kairi and Asuka defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships against the many teams WWE have been building, putting Jade in a tag team match at her first Mania is a safe way to make Jade look like the star that she is. Unless this is indeed the long anticipated heel turn from Bianca, Team Cargill are for sure leaving with the W tonight! Prediction: Belair, Cargill & Naomi
Adam: Well we didn’t get a Women’s Tag Team title match at Mania (is that better or worse than a Battle Royal or a Gauntlet/Tag Team Turmoil match?). It’s still a showcase match so it’s something at least. Unless they pull a massive swerve here and play off of Belair’s anger at everyone accepting Bayley after the wrongs of the past, I think it’s fairly obvious that Damage CTRL is taking a loss here to give Jade a big win and continue Belair’s undefeated streak. Prediction: Belair, Cargill & Naomi
Elle: It might not be on the scale of Cody Vs Roman but Bayley and IYO’s feud somewhat mirrors the WrestleMania main event feud with Damage CTRL members facing off on both Night 1 and 2 of this year’s WrestleMania. I imagine the 6-Woman tag team match will see Damage CTRL unable to enter Night 2 to aid IYO, making it a straight up one on one truly deserving of taking place at WrestleMania. I would love IYO to prove she is a force not to be reckoned with but Bayley has truly deserved a win at WrestleMania for the gold. Prediction: Bayley
Adam: A match I’m slightly unsure of. Bayley certainly deserves a solo WrestleMania moment to shine, but she’s also had a big ‘Mania title victory in the past and has a history of putting over others instead of herself. It wouldn’t be that much of a surprise for Iyo Sky to go over here, after Damage CTRL interference or otherwise. However, I think Bayley will get the victory here simply because after ‘Mania season it might very well be Tiffy Time in terms of a new title contender. Prediction: Bayley
