The NWA has lost yet another member of its roster and not only one of the few women it had, but a former World Women’s Champion.
ALLYSIN KAY, the former WWE Mae Young Classic competitor and Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion as Sienna, took to Twitter to announce she was no longer under contract with the NWA.
“As of today, I am officially a free agent.” Kay wrote. “Thank you to the NWA for the opportunities, which included one of my favorite matches of my career. I am open for indy bookings & appearances.”
Kay’s departure comes barely a week after the NWA World Women’s Championship changed hands as Thunder Rosa, who had beaten Kay for the title, dropped the belt to AEW wrestler Serena Deeb. Despite Rosa having feuded with AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida in the past, Deeb immediately defended her NWA title on AEW Dynamite the day after her title win aired. The NWA then had to publicly state that currently Rosa was still under contract with them.
Kay has held numberous titles in her career. As Sienna she was a two time Knockouts Champion, including unifying the GFW Women’s Championship with the Knockouts title. She’s also a two time Shine Wrestling Champion, and the winner of the Shine Championship Tournament in 2018. She took part in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament, losing in the first round to Mia Yim akak current WWE Superstar Reckoning.
