On the very day it was revealed that WWE signed a new significant financial contract with USA Network to air SmackDown, it was revealed that several WWE Superstars were released from the company including six female superstars.
Among those who announced their departure from WWE were Alexis Gray, Aliyah, Brooklyn Barlow, Dana Brooke, Emma and Yulisa Leon.
Releases are never great, especially when it comes to WWE but with names like Emma and Dana Brooke amongst the mix of passionate and entertaining superstars, it’s hard not to be aggravated when all some talent want is a chance. It’s also quite the head scratcher when you see the release of talent such as Alexis Gray, who never even got the opportunity to have a match during her time in WWE.
As always our thoughts go out to all of the superstars released and we wish them nothing but the best in their future.
