Summer is here and things are heating up as the Men and Women of WWE prepare to get the Summer celebrations in full swing as we celebrate with the hottest party of the Summer…SummerSlam.
In one of the biggest premium live events of the year, not only will grudges look to be settled but Championship gold hangs in the balance as both the WWE Women’s Championship and the Women’s World Championship are on the line in what is bound to be two hard hitting matches.
Since becoming Queen of the Ring Nia Jax has been patiently biding her time to get her hands on Bayley and the WWE Women’s Championship, aligning herself with Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton for that extra bit of leverage. Bayley however is no stranger to having the odds stacked against her and looks to not only take down Jax but the possible cash in threat from Tiffany too. Will the odds be too great for the Role Model or will she once again show why she is on the very best to step foot inside the squared circle.
After injuring Rhea Ripley earlier this year and taking everything Rhea holds near and dear, Liv Morgan looks to put the final nail in Rhea’s coffin with the culmination of the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour. Rhea however is looking to have revenge of her own as she attempts to regain the Women’s World Championship and reinstate herself at the top of the RAW Women’s Division.
Who will walk out Champion and Who will get the last laugh? It’s time for our SummerSlam 2024 PPV Predictions:
Elle: I have to say I have quite high hopes for this match up and I rather hope it’s more of a brawl than a Wrestling match that see’s both Women try to pummel their rival and claim their spot at the top. Rhea has already proven that she shouldn’t be taken lightly since returning and I have no doubt should she win that she would be a compelling champion.
I will say however that I honestly feel like this version of Liv Morgan has been the making of Liv and for me personally, I feel like this is the most fleshed out version of Liv that we’ve ever seen. Slightly unhinged with a score to settle and a former friend to destroy, Liv has been killing it backstage and in promos and part of me would be intrigued to see how that would unfold if she were infact to lose later tonight. The real question and result no doubt lies with Dirty Dom and where the chips fall with his alliance, I have no doubt that this won’t be the last title match between the duo whatever happens tonight. Prediction: Liv Morgan
Adam: Going the no-touch route with Morgan repeatedly fleeing and all the mind games with the attempts to seduce Dominik Mysterio have worked well. I expect this to be a great match be we’ll see if it leads to any screwjob my Mysterio in the match. Unless the WWE has new plans going forward I don’t think this is the last clash between the two and as a result, I think Morgan escapes with the title and likely through some less than fair means. Prediction: Liv Morgan
Elle: I honestly feel like this match up is anyone’s game with either woman as well as Tiffany Stratton easily capable of walking out as the WWE Women’s Champion. I won’t lie I don’t think Bayley has been used to her full potential since winning at WrestleMania and I can’t quite tell if that’s because we’ve somehow lost some of Bayley’s charm since turning face. Bayley is such a great performer and can cut a passionate promo if she needs to, she just needs the right story and right opponents and quite frankly bar Piper Niven I don’t feel like we’ve explored that enough.
Since returning to WWE Nia Jax has been on one hell of a run and quickly solidified why WWE had such faith in her in the first place, sure her run as Queen could have been fleshed out a lot better but why be Queen when you can be Champion. Whilst I could easily see Tiffany cashing in on Nia and Bayley, I actually think they should have Tiffany tease a Cash in for quite a while and profit on the Custom Tiffany briefcase, which was gifted to Tiffany on last night’s SmackDown. Whoever walks out as Champion, I hope they get the right time to shine with the gold because any three of the Women are deserving of the moniker of Champion. Prediction: Nia Jax
Adam: A tough one to pick as there’s every chance that the match can go either way. And there’s the threat that Tiffany Stratton could cash in during or more likely after the match, especially if Bayley survives and wins over Jax. Perhaps for that reason I’ll go with Bayley retaining but not able to enjoy the victory for long if Tiffy Time comes into play. Prediction: Bayley
