The Road to WrestleMania is well underway but before the men and women compete on the grandest stage of them all first they will have to face the dreaded Elimination Chamber first.
Whilst many of the WWE Superstars look to enter the Elimination Chamber structure, The Judgement Day and The ‘Grit Couple’ prepare to enter a battle of a different variety as they attempt to end the war once and for all. Can Edge and Beth Phoenix silence the formidable stable once and for all or will the Judgement Day once again have the last laugh.
In a bid to crown a challenger to the RAW Women’s Championship, six women look set to put their reputation and bodies on the line for a shot to compete at WrestleMania. Stepping into this years Elimination Chamber are none other than Asuka, Carmella, Liv Morgan, Natalya, Nikki Cross and Raquel Rodriguez. Who will leave the Elimination Chamber structure with their body intact and go on to face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania? It’s time to weigh in with our WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 PPV Predictions:
Women’s Elimination Chamber Match: Asuka Vs Liv Morgan Vs Carmella Vs Nikki Cross Vs Natalya Vs Raquel Rodriguez
Elle: I can’t deny that I really wish that this was for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania and not the RAW Women’s Championship. After a dominant run as RAW Women’s Champion I was really looking forward to seeing Belair meet her match in the form of Rhea Ripley….Before we go down that rabbit hole let’s regain focus. A huge part of me expects Asuka to continue this dominant streak since returning but I can’t help but feel that this might be the start of the upward trajectory of Raquel.
Whilst I am a huge fan of Asuka and would love nothing more than to see her go on and win the title at Mania, I just can’t seem to shift the feeling that Raquel might pull the rug from under her and get the shock win. Raquel seems to be teasing a will she wont she heel turn and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her begin a dominant run like Asuka leading into WrestleMania. Not only that but you have the history of Raquel and Bianca in NXT so who knows. I will say that I don’t think there is a wrong decision in this regardless of who wins, it just comes down to which is the most exciting. Prediction: Raquel Rodriguez.
Adam (TheInsanityInc): Common sense would indicate that a heel wins to give Belair the suitable opponent in the crowd cheering regard, which would make perhaps Carmella winning the easy choice. But this a new era of WWE after all. And after seeing not just Asuka’s new (or old, if you know her pre-WWE days) look, but the way she attacked partners this past Raw? I don’t think Asuka is as clear cut a face as it might seem. Asuka versus Belair would be quite the delicious match for WrestleMania. Prediction: Asuka.
Mixed Tag Team Match: The Judgement Day Vs The Grit Couple
Elle: Surely this feud is far from over and is nothing more than a stepping stone between Edge and Balor facing off at WrestleMania. With Rhea already having an opponent going into Mania, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Judgement Day somehow utilize Beth once again to get a shocking win over the Hall of Famer. If that is the case I only hope that Beth gives the stable a run for their money and gets plenty of hits in before taking a loss. Prediction: The Judgement Day.
Adam: Obviously the storyline with Edge against his former faction has been dragging on for months, and probably will carry on until WrestleMania. But with Rhea Ripley already otherwise preoccupied at ‘Mania, it would seem odd to me to kill off the momentum she has as Royal Rumble winner with a loss on the between PLE show. And Ripley winning over Phoenix can still give Edge an out to continue his feud with the men of The Judgement Day. Prediction: The Judgement Day.
