Welcome one and all to the RAW RECAP presented by THE REVELLEUTION! The Bad Blood event is just days away with women’s championship clashes on both brands. So who will get the last laugh between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan ahead of their title fight with Dominik Mysterio locked in a Shark Cage? Let’s get into it, and find out…
LIV MORGAN and Dominik Mysterio were hanging out in the parking lot, as Mysterio took a phone call from Finn Balor that claimed some ‘business’ for Morgan had been taken care of.
In the lockerroom area, LYRA VALKYRIA was confronted by SONYA DEVILLE and SHAYNA BASZLER. Deville tried to mock the fact that Valkyria was alone but there seemed to be clear tension whenever Deville put a hand onto Baszler who gave a disgusted glare.
Singles Match
ZOEY STARK w/h SHAYNA BASZLER & SONYA DEVILLE defeated LYRA VALKYRIA
After some coaching by Deville, Stark charged to lift up Valkyria and drive her into a corner for some Shoulder Thrusts. Valkyria soon came back with an Arm Drag, and seemed to briefly jolt her knee after a flip counter but nothing came of it as some rope work and counters were traded. It led to a Backbreaker from Stark but moments later Valkyria hit her Dropkick through the ropes to Stark on the floor.
After a commercial break, Valkyria mounted a comeback with strikes then a Running Crossbody. More strikes followed then a Headscissors Takeover and an Enzigiri for a near fall. Not long after Stark was sent to the apron but hit a Lucha Kick then Like A Sniper for a near fall. Stark went for Z-360 but Valkyria countered and turned it into a Leg-Trap German Suplex. First Deville got on the apron to distract but got knocked down then Baszler did the same so the referee missed a pinhold that would have won Valkyria the match. From the kick out, Valkyria was sent to the ropes where unseen by the ref Deville hit a Running Knee Strike along the apron. Z-360 then got Stark the cheap victory.
Before PFC could rough up Valkyria, KAYDEN CARTER & KATANA CHANCE (who was clad in a Jacy Jayne-like face mask) rushed out to fight the numbers. Chance escaped the Kirifuda Clutch so Carter could hit Baszler with a Superkick. Deville took a Leg Sweep from Chance before Carter hit a Superkick, before the party girls delivered The Cake Stand onto Deville and Baszler. The faces celebrated in the ring while Baszler looked furious on the outside.
JACKIE REDMOND interviewed Carter, Chance and Valkyria backstage. Chance was fired up and said that them being the ‘good guys’ ended now and that her and Carter would be getting back the tag team titles. ALBA FYRE and ISLA DAWN stepped in to object and mocked the fact that the party girls had been gone for months. The segment finished with a shouting match between the teams.
CATHY KELLEY handled interview duties.
Liv Morgan accompanied The Judgement Day as they faced The LWO. Morgan would help her boys to win when she distracted the ref, allowing Finn Balor to interfere to cost LWO the match.
When The Judgement Day stayed in the ring to rant, RHEA RIPLEY interrupted to fire back. She had the Shark Cage be brought out and mocked that Mysterio was claustrophobic and would be wiping his tears with all his new merch. Mysterio would have to watch when Ripley proved that Morgan wasn’t on her level when she’s all alone. Ripley’s speech allowed Damien Priest to slide into the ring and take out the men of The Judgement Day. Before Ripley decked Morgan with a Headbutt on the outside and tossed Mysterio into the barricade.
Ripley roughed up Mysterio and chased away Morgan before she tried to lock Mysterio in the cage, but Morgan returned to cheap shot her rival, leading to a brawl on the stage. With the women gone, Priest was taken out with a four-on-one attack from the men of The Judgement Day.
IVY NILE with The Creed Brothers accompanied Chad Gable as he won over Kofi Kingston.
DAMAGE CTRL‘s IYO SKY and KAIRI SANE got a hype video, talking in mostly English and vowing to take back the tag titles.
SCARLETT and The Final Testament accompanied Authors of Pain as they faced Awesome Truth, getting an easy win when The Miz walked out on Truth.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
A slight bit of hype between Ripley and Morgan. They’ve abandoned the knee injury angle but even the Shark Cage gimmick seems rushed and suddenly shoved in. Let’s hope they can actually deliver a proper match at the PLE. Elsewhere PFC finally get a win, and though heel tactics which is fine. Carter and Chance have just swapped out with Vega and Natalya, but it’s not a bad thing since the tag team division is fully in force now with plenty of duos in the mix. They just need to get the straps away from The Big Two first which will be no easy task.
That’s your lot for this week! Be sure to stop by in seven days’ time for the post-Bad Blood edition of the RAW RECAP! See you then!
