WrestleMania is finally here with not one but two nights of blockbuster or should we say stupendous wrestling.
In Night 1 the most prestigious titles in all of WWE are on the line as both the RAW and SmackDown women’s Championships are on the line as Becky Lynch defends her RAW Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair defends her SmackDown Women’s Championship against the 2022 Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey.
On night two it’s time for the women’s tag team division to finally get their chance to shine as Zelina Vega and Carmella defend their women’s tag team championships against Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, Natalya, Naomi and Sasha Banks.
Will any of our current Women’s Champions leave with the gold or will we see four new champions when the lights go out? It’s time for our WrestleMania 38 PPV Predictions.
WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair Vs Ronda Rousey
Elle: I won’t lie in saying this hasn’t panned out as bad ass as I originally anticipated, I expected the same sort of fire and fuel from the WrestleMania triple threat match we encountered. Even so Charlotte has been killing it as of late on the mic and I really wouldn’t mind seeing Flair get a huge monumental win over the baddest woman on the planet. If Ronda should pick up the win I only hope we see that stride In her step that she had the first time around. Prediction: Ronda Rousey
Adam: I mean, this is obvious, surely? Rousey wouldn’t come back unless she was getting another run with a title. Putting the belt off of Flair and onto Rousey isn’t exactly a win either way, and I feel bad for the Smackdown roster already having to be fed to Rousey just like her past run in WWE turned out. It’s going to be a tough year on the blue brand. Prediction: Ronda Rousey
WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch Vs Bianca Belair
Elle: This one I have to admit is pretty tough to call, originally I was certain that Bianca might pull out the win but after the match against Lita at Crown Jewel and the consistent epic performances by Becky it would almost be a crime to take the belt from her right now. A win for Bianca would propel her star power and rightfully so, but where would that leave Becky because you can’t just leave her on the side-lines whilst she is killing it? I’m so torn on the outcome here but I think WWE may give Bianca the SummerSlam redemption tonight. Prediction: Bianca Belair
Adam: I don’t think the result of this one is so clear cut, and no that’s not a pun about the events from Raw. Sure, the match won’t be SummerSlam short, but with still how fantastic Lynch has been and how hot and cold Belair has been? I’m not so certain we’re going to have an ‘as expected’ changing of the guard, especially since Belair has already been there, done that with last year and it didn’t give her the boost to superstardom as the WWE might have hoped. I think the WWE might stay being Big Time at least for a while longer. Prediction: Becky Lynch
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – Fatal Four Way Match: Carmella & Queen Zelina Vs Naomi & Sasha Banks Vs Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley Vs Natalya & Shayna Baszler
Elle: A multi team tag team match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, who would have thought it? You would assume Naomi and Sasha will get the win here due to their star power and popularity alone but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Liv and Rhea get the shock victory especially after the outpouring love to Liv. When the bell rings I hope we see the start of something new for the women’s tag team division be it new champions or retaining champions because the women’s tag team division deserves some serious love and decent booking. If they can do it on NXT they can do it on the main roster! Prediction: Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan
Adam: Last year it was the Tag Team Turmoil match instead of a Battle Royale to get almost everyone on the card. This year it’s just one big match to fit as many women as possible. Is that worse or better? If this has just been the two on two tag, I think the result of Naomi and Banks winning would be obvious. But with the new teams tossed in? It’s not quite so clear, and I think we could see a fresh new duo getting a chance to shine. Who is up for Watching some Brutal new champions? Prediction: Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley
