WrestleMania is here BayBay! After a year of confusion and craziness WrestleMania is back with a bang with Night 1 of WrestleMania 37 and A LIVE CROWD.
In a night of Championship gold and epic encounters Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair go toe to toe in the first ever WrestleMania Women’s singles match Main Event with Sasha Banks putting the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line. Elsewhere with a Women’s Tag Team Championship match guaranteed on Night 2 of WrestleMania, female tag teams from both RAW and Friday Night SmackDown collide in a tag team turmoil match with the winners set to face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler the following evening.
With so much on the line on the grandest stage of them all, who will leave Night 1 with gold around their waist? It’s time for our WrestleMania 37 Night 1 PPV predictions:
Women’s Tag Team Turmoil Match
Elle: I’m surprisingly rather excited for this match I have to admit. After months of doing the wrong thing when it comes to the women’s tag team championships, it looks as though WWE are slowly starting to rewrite their wrongs with all of the teams competing tonight rightfully earning their shot (maybe bar Carmella and Billie) in the match. I have to say I’m completely rooting for the Team of Natalya and Tamina tonight. A championship reign for Tamina is long long overdue and with the fire she’s been displaying these last few months now is the perfect timing, not to mention Tamina and Natalya have been slaying (quite literally) as a tag team. Prediction (and praying): Tamina & Natalya
Adam (TheInsanityInc): There is a slim chance that this match could go to any of the babyface teams, but it seems like the momentum is on the side of Lana and Naomi. I’d love for Brooke and Rose to finally get a long overdue moment but I think the match will go the way of Ravishing Glow. That is, of course, unless there is a surprise team that enters the match. Bayley is still free for the evening after all. Prediction: Lana & Naomi
SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair Vs Sasha Banks
Elle: I won’t lie the build-up for this match has been a little rubbish for me personally to say the least and WWE could have easily pulled out some epic storytelling between two of the greatest in wrestling today.However given the two in question, both Sasha and Bianca are bound to put on a WrestleMania match for the decades and I couldn’t be happier to see them go head to head later tonight. Going into the match I was certain that Belair would come out Champion, the rise to the top is right there and it would be the perfect WrestleMania moment to go down in the books, then I remembered Sasha Banks’ WrestleMania record….which leaves me a little torn. I still think it’s more likely that Belair will win, it just sucks to see another notch added to that WrestleMania score card for Banks. Regardless this could be the match of WrestleMania! Prediction: Bianca Belair
Adam: This match has all the makings to be a true WrestleMania classic, especially if it gets the expected main event spot. So it really comes down to whether the WWE feels Belair is ready for the big time because we know that win or lose, Banks will continue to be a star. So in that regard, I think that we might see something of an upset with a new champion crowned. Prediction: Bianca Belair
