AEW’s latest PPV Full Gear is set to take place later today and in the lead up to the celebrations AEW Games have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming AEW Fight Forever video game which features a whole host of AEW stars.
The latest trailer boasts a gameplay experience similar to the ‘golden age’ of wrestling games with a gameplay similar to titles such as WWF No Mercy and WCW/nWo Revenge.
This time around the trailer gives a balanced look at both superstar entrances and in-ring action with a quick look at entrances from Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Chris Jericho, MJF, Thunder Rosa, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, Sting, Britt Baker & Jade Cargill.
From the brief snippets we can see that Jade Cargill and Thunder Rosa will act as the TBS Champion and AEW Women’s World Champion. Given that Thunder Rosa is the one holding the AEW Women’s Champion it could hint that Toni Storm won’t be included in the base game but could possibly be added as DLC or a future update.
The trailer also showcases a variety of matches including falls count anywhere and the infamous lights out match which is recreated in the trailer by the original rivals Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa. The extreme action of the game is never-ending thanks to an awe-inspiring amount of interactive weapons including a Floor sign, traffic cone, frying pan, inner circle baseball bat, mop, table, barbed wire baseball bat, thumbtacks, skateboard, tyre, fire extinguisher, kendo stick, pool cue, tennis racket, sledgehammer, football and a bottle of bubbly made famous by Chris Jericho.
Originally it was speculated that Fight Forever would debut in fall of this year but with no official date set in sights it looks as though the title could see a release closer to that of 2K’s upcoming WWE title.
We certainly can’t wait to play AEW’s Fight Forever and we can only hope the AEW Women’s division will be as varied as the weapons variety.
