The silence is finally over! Earlier Today WWE and 2K unveiled a brand new look at their upcoming WWE 2K22 game with a brief look at Edge’s new and updated character model and a tease of what’s to come over the SummerSlam weekend.
For weeks fans of the series have been caught up in circulating rumours and speculation after it was revealed that WWE 2K22 is one of the official sponsors for this year’s SummerSlam with little to no information in recent months regarding the actual game itself.
Thankfully in the run up to the hottest event of the summer, 2K is here to start the Summer celebrations off with a bang thanks to these pretty awesome Edge screenshots which are a huge leap considering the visuals of WWE 2K20 (The Becky Lynch glitch is engraved in my brain).
Edge looks to be sporting his WWE Backlash attire from last year with some pretty sick lighting and texture improvements glistening off every inch of his attire and body. Whilst there may be some game to real life differences when it comes to the attire textures, there is no doubt that Edge has never looked better in a WWE Video game and I can’t wait to get a better look at him in the full game itself.
As part of the reveal 2K and WWE encouraged fans to Tune in to SummerSlam this coming Saturday for more information surrounding the game. With no cover reveal, release date and even official console information revealed yet maybe we could be in for one blockbuster set of reveals?
Let us know in the comments below what you think of the screenshots and who you would want to see revealed next.
