Ever since the WWE Draft and the confusing decision to have the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships switch brands to their opposing shows, The WWE Universe have been pleading with WWE to either rename or bring in new Women’s Championships.
Well in a surprising turn of events, prior to last night’s SmackDown it was revealed that Asuka was to be presented with a brand New WWE Women’s Championship in place of the RAW Women’s Championship which she won from former Champion Bianca Belair at Night of Champions.
During the show Asuka was presented with the new Title which is strikingly similar to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship which was presented to Roman Reigns earlier this month.
It’s worth noting that the new WWE Women’s Championship will continue the lineage of the RAW Women’s Championship with Asuka being the last female superstar to hold the title under it’s previous name. Here’s hoping Rhea Ripley is presented with a new Championship on next week’s RAW!
